WiT Ace Hackathon 2021

• Teams can consist of a maximum of five members with not more than 2 male members. Team leader has to be a female candidate. Each team can have one mentor apart from five team members. Mentors can be male or female. You are not allowed to be a part of more than one team at the event.
• In the spirit of Hackathon, we recommend participants to not start development before the actual date of event. However, teams can brainstorm ideas and create wireframes before the event.
• A team can submit only one entry for the Hackathon.
• Post registration on WIT ACE platform, teams are advised to register for the Call for Code (https://developer.ibm.com/callforcode/get-started/) and be a part of the slack channel for discussion on any query resolution.
• Your submission must use one or more of IBM Cloud Services or IBM Systems. See the IBM Cloud catalog for a list of services that can be used. Your application can use additional data sets, libraries, and externally hosted services to complement the IBM Cloud Services or IBM Systems.

• Who will own the Intellectual Property Rights to my final product?
  • It is yours. You are the solution creator, and you will have all rights and own the IP of the product. However, all code needs to be on the public domain (Github) for it to be evaluated by the jury panel.
• Does one have to be online and available for the entire duration of the challenge?
  • You have the flexibility to work as per your convenience. We expect solutions to be submitted within the mentioned timeframe.
• Do we need the entire idea completely working?
  • The jury will need to see a solution that can be evaluated to establish the feasibility of the solution. Therefore, try to work towards the logical representation of the solution and define the problem statement as clearly as you can. The more complete it is, the better the jury can evaluate.
• What is the role of mentor?
  • Mentors will guide and discuss ideas with participants. It will help participants in putting their knowledge into practice. You can also connect with IBM mentors through the slack channel. They can provide you with answers on the competition rules and guide you through the technical resources.
• What should the idea be based upon?
  • A. We welcome original ideas as long as they are in line with the theme of the Hackathon. Please avoid plagiarism. You may use the code that is open sourced and publicly available.

To submit your solution for ‘She the Force: Hack for Sustainability with tech solutions’, your team leader will require to provide following details:

• Submission name: The name for your solution in five words or less.
• Long description: Describe your solution in more detail. Give us a more-detailed description of what you’re building, what problem you are solving, and why it matters in less than 500 words.
• Solution roadmap: How mature is your submission and where do you intend to take it from here?
• Link to GitHub code repository. You can provide additional description and diagrams here.
• Link to a three-minute demo video. Record a demo of your project, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo, and share the URL.
• List of IBM Cloud Services or IBM Systems used in the solution.
• Team leaders will need to provide information on up to four additional team members.
